John Mayer Reveals His New Album Will Be Out By January

first_imgA lot of hype is surrounding the new release from guitarist John Mayer, backed by the musical styling of bassist Pino Palladino and drummer Steve Jordan. So far we’ve only heard one song from the album, “Love On The Weekend,” which Mayer shared with fans just a couple of weeks ago. Thanks to an Instagram Live video with the guitarist, we now know that the new album will be out “before the end of January.”Titled The Search For Everything, the new release marks Mayer’s first album since 2013, and his first with the John Mayer Trio since 2006’s Try!. At around the 37 minute mark, a caller asks Mayer when the new album will be released. He says that he actually recently confirmed the date with Sony, and while he can’t share the specific information publicly, that the album will be released before the end of January.
