Damien Delaney in action for Crystal Palace 1 Damien Delaney’s Crystal Palace future could be in doubt as the defender is stalling over signing a new deal. The 33-year-old’s existing contract expires at Selhurst Park at the end of the season and Neil Warnock has revealed the club have offered him an extension, but he is yet to put pen to paper. The Eagles boss has admitted it is down to the player whether or not he prolongs his stay in south east London but is keen to keep the experienced centre-back at the club.“He’s been offered a contract. At the moment he hasn’t signed it yet but the contract is on the table. It’s nothing to do with us, it’s to do with Damien,” the 67-year-old said.“You’ll have to ask him why he hasn’t signed it. Over the season he’s done very well and he’s a good leader for us in the dressing room as well. That’s why we’ve offered him a new contract, it’s up to him if he signs it, not me.”Warnock also revealed talks have begun to offer full-back Joel Ward a new Palace deal.
